The Unique Blogger Award //

First of all, thank you to Kris for nominating me for this award… like three months ago xD. I am terrible, and haven’t done it yet. She is super awesome, and you should go read her blog. She is hilarious, and her blog is so, so fun!!

The Rules:

  1. Share the link of the blogger who has shown love to you by nominating you.
  2. Answer the questions.
  3. In the spirit of sharing love and solidarity with our blogging family, nominate 8-13 people for the same award.
  4. Ask them three questions.

Kris’s Questions:

What is the number one food from a fictional world that you have wanted to try??

Hmm.. this is hard!! Probably all the food from The Wrath and the Dawn because I love Middle Eastern food and that book made me really hungry.

What is the hardest cringe a book has ever given you??  What caused this painful feeling that WAS SO REAL IT HURT?

HAHAHAHA There are so many. I’m going to go with the big fat mess Gia from The Fill In Boyfriend gets herself into. I hate when people lie, mostly because it causes such big embarrassing problems!! (Also because, you know, it’s wrong, but priorities!!) I was dying the entire book because I just KNEW it was all going to blow up in her face, and vicariously, mine.

Actually, all of Kasie West’s books are like that. Everything just starts burning down before my eyes. It’s painful, but yet I love them all so much! 😀

What’s your favorite kind of juice?  (This is definitely for scientific research, stop with those judgy eyes)

ORANGE. All other kinds are gross and, for some inexplicable reason, make my throat sore.

So, I’m absolutely terrible at tagging people, so I’m just going to apologize for my rudeness and invite everyone to do this tag!! If you do participate, let me know so I can read your post!

My Questions:

  1. If you could live in any book, which would it be?
  2. Where is your favorite place to read?
  3. Do you like avocados? I personally hate them, (I know, I am a terrible excuse for a millennial!) If so, tell me if I’m missing something!

Do embarrassing books make *you* feel embarrassed? Do you ever do tags/awards on your blog? What is your favorite kind of food? If it is avocados, please leave. (I’m kidding xD.)

  1. AVOCADOES ARE DISGUSTING. Except in guacamole. With chips. 😂 Whaaat, you don’t like apple juice or lemonade? Orange juice is still pretty great tho haha. Agh I need to read Kasie West’s contemporaries! My 10yo sis (soon to be 11 lol) actually got PS I Still Like You which I was completely unaware of, so I guess I can start with that! 😂

    1. THANK YOU. I don’t even like guacamole, but i suppose I can forgive you for that.
I do like lemonade, but I guess I don’t think of it as a juice?
Um, yes, you do need to read them. PS I Like You is my favorite Kasie West. I hope you enjoy it!

  2. Dude, i love avocados. I put sriracha on them and its so fracken fantastic. Yes, seriously.
HA I FORGOT I EVEN TAGGED YOU. THREE MONTHS AGO IS LIKE A CENTURY FOR ME RIGHT NOW.
So im gonna explain to you the legitimate scientific reasoning behind why juices are making your throat sore. Its also the reason they say to drink juice when you’re sick. ALRIGHT SO the high acidity of a lot of juices (pineapple in particular is quite high and therefore lovely) will cause the proteins inside the cells in your throat to denature (unfold themselves), thereby forcing the cells to go through apoptosis (programmed cell death) / suffer the cell-pocalypse. This is good for when you’ve got a upper respiratory infection because it forces your throat to ramp up its cell production, and therefore you get better a bit faster! Science, man.
I hope you enjoyed this lesson brought to you by doctor professor kris.

    1. Excuse me while I go throw up.
      Just kidding 😉
Haha!! That actually makes perfect sense. I suspected it had something to do with the acidity. I will be sure to drink lots and lots of apple juice the next time I’m sick.

  3. It drives me CRAZY when characters do stupid embarrassing things. Most of the time, once in a while they’ll do something that’s so dumb its hilarious.
Ewwwww avocados! I hate them so much that even THINKING about them makes me feel sick… ugh.

    1. I know!! Plus then I feel like *I’m* the one making the mistake which of course makes no since, but there you go.
I know… they’re all slimy and mushy and just blech. And avocado toast makes me want to die.

  4. I love orange juice too! I also like avocados haha. Embarrassing books *do* make me feel embarrassed!! I feel so bad for the characters as they struggle to pull themselves together. And it also reminds me of times I screwed up badly.. whoops..
